This property for sale is north of Broadway, just a few houses down from Downing Park. It is a massive property, that unfortunately has no interior photos. One of the most intriguing things are the many garages out back. I can see over 10 of them. If zoning would allow it, some could even make nice carriage house conversions. It would be interesting to find out the past history to find out why so many garages were needed. There is a nice side yard, and this is close to the ever mysterious Chapman Steamer Firehouse. We still don’t know what will become of it.

The brick garages in the back look like a carriage house with a hay loft above. I don’t have an answer for the wooden garages but, if my memory serves me correctly, in the mid-1960s the area was a used car sales location.
The taxes are insane $14,031 you wonder why people are fleeing upstate NY in droves.
@nuyorican In Newburgh City limits its almost impossible to find any propery with taxes under $4500 that includes buildings that are falling down. But other parts of NY are not that bad.
