  • The ‘Tearing Down’ is just the ‘self-cleaning oven’ phase of the ex-industrial economy. It takes a lot of resources to maintain a city and they aren’t paid for by outsourcing. Redevelopment cost even more. Money is charged toward ‘initiatives’ while ignoring support for the under lining fundamentals. I.e., a ‘comprehensive surveillance program’ alongside a depleted DPW. If a person can’t afford the minimum dumping fee how are they going to pay a $500 fine? It’ll cost at least that much in processing. The garbage still needs to be picked up. Why pay double? Hint…another progressive industry in the making, coming to a city near you.
