Liberty Street is going to be one business more today with the grand opening of APG Pilates! The party will start today 5:30-8:30pm. Location is at 87 Liberty Street!

Refreshments and light food will be provided. There will be an open house on Saturday afternoon, March 8th to provide more information and details on the method, prices, and benefits.

Angela, a native of France is also a member of the Newburgh/Hudson Valley Francophone Connection. The open house on March 8th will explain their group and the new French book collection at the Newburgh Library.

For all of you dying to feast your eyes on all the vintage goodness that will be coming to Newburgh the wait is almost over. The Newburgh Vintage Emporium is constructing booths for their vendors and anticipate opening March 1st. Check out their fanpage to keep up to date with all the details!

The Newburgh Urban Market will be catering to affordable vintage and antique items as well as food vendors. We want to make the NBUM a hip and fun place to be; a destination for visitors and a place to shop for local residents. To be a success the market needs vendors who are interested in being part of a community effort to make Newburgh the Queen of the Hudson City again.

Bringing quality to the NBUM will prove that Newburgh is worth investing in, and provide a platform for businesses looking to start up in the city. I am looking for the following types of vendors who have affordable price points:

You might remember Angela from APG Pilates studio from our post last year. Previously her studio was located in the town of Newburgh, but we are excited to announce that she is part of the growing trend of businesses that want to be on Liberty Street in the City of Newburgh! The new location will be 87 Liberty Street. The Grand Opening will be Monday, March 3rd, 5:00-8:00pm. Refreshments and light food will be provided. Classes will start at the new location the following day (March 4th) and there will be an open house on Saturday afternoon, March 8th to provide more information and details on the method, prices, and benefits.

This is a new bakery/restaurant/sandwich shop that will be coming to Liberty Street this Spring! It has been in the works for quite some time now but things are quickly taking shape as you can see from the lovely font in the new shop windows. The new shop Martha, is the creation behind the mastermind of the Queen of the Hudson Music Series, David Ludwig. He is a resident of the City of Newburgh. The establishments name, Martha, was inspired by Martha Washington. As Ludwig said, “[everything] was always about George.” Now Martha will get some limelight. This is a start-up business that has been backed by local Newburghers who want to see the business district of Newburgh grow. It will be a vegan cafe and bakery with tapas soon to be added. Hours will be 6am-6pm.

We can’t wait to share more details as the shop materializes but until then make sure you become a fan of their Facebook page, Martha.

If you have been following the Newburgh Vintage Emporium’s fanpage on Facebook you’ll see that they are making strides. Recently the new sign went up and they have been passing the many inspections necessary to open. They will be having a grand opening party so stay tuned!
