Four years ago an idea started for a restaurant on the corner of Liberty and Ann Street. Four years later the restaurant is still going strong and changing the Liberty Street/Washington Market area little by little. A lot has happened since the restaurant opened, and a nice conglomeration of businesses have opened near the restaurant. It certainly is an accomplishment for the Wherehouse to be in business 4 years! Here’s to hoping that many other brave entrepreneurs will continue to open businesses in Newburgh!

The Newburgh Brewing Company is excited to announce the debut of their Indoor Farmers Market, in their beautiful 4th floor taproom!  Led by experienced Market Managers Wendy Messano and Alexandria Evans (from both the Suffern and Haverstraw Markets), the market begins this Wednesday, September 19th, from 2:00 to 6:30pm. It will run bi-weekly through the end of November, and may continue straight through the winter as well.

In addition to some fantastic vendors (including local produce, honey, bread, soap, pickles, bacon, coffee, and more!), they will also be having great live entertainment that is perfect for families and kids!  This week’s entertainment is Jonathan Kruk & The Hudson River Ramblers, who will be performing stories and songs all about the majestic Hudson River.  They will also have their bar open for soft drinks, growler fills, local wine, and (of course), Newburgh beer!

If you are interested in being a vendor the market, please contact Wendy at newburghbrewingfm@yahoo.com.
