169 Liberty St Newburgh NY 12550

Here is a more modest home, which quite frankly make up the bulk of properties in the City of Newburgh. Finding homeowners who want to rehabilitate and occupy many of these types of homes will make noticeable differences on streets. This home is just one block north of Broadway, the Ritz Theater, and the Karpeles Museum. There are a few original details that still remain. I can spot 3 fireplaces. Details below:

250 Liberty Street Newburgh NY

This isn’t an architectural masterpiece, just a simple home built in 1929 that is an example of the different years of development Newburgh has seen. It has been it this state for a while. A few of the neighboring homes like 246 Liberty looked worse than this until they were amazingly restored. It would be great to see this home saved as well. Rescue me!

There are over 700 abandoned or vacant properties in the City of Newburgh. Habitation of these properties is vital to the revitalization of the city. 250 Liberty Street Newburgh NY Google Map

83 Nicoll St Newburgh NY

If you want proximity to Grand Street and river views, this house on Nicoll Street at the northern end of the city is worth looking at. The asking price was just slashed $35,000. It is a humble row home that is walking distance to the waterfront, yacht club, and stately mansions. The price probably reflects some work that needs to be done. But with those views to the east, it certainly warrants a look if you want to be in this area. With a bit of vision this property to clean up nicely.
