Press release from one of the newest mobs to hit the city!
We’ve been inspired by the successes of Safe Harbors/Cornerstone Annual Community Clean-Up and the City of Newburgh (NY) Business Association’s Cash Mob. So we’re combining the philosophies of these events into a regularly-scheduled effort to make Newburgh a more presentable place, one space at a time. We invite all the participants in the Safe Harbors/Cornerstone Annual Community Clean-Up and monthly Newburgh Cash Mob which shares similar goals.
Let’s turn a negative into a positive! The idea is that once a month we will gather at a spot that’s an eyesore in our city and spend one hour cleaning it up. We will do things like pick up garbage, plant some flowers, light grass cutting. We will come up with a plan and location then announce it before the event. Please share this with your Newburgh neighbors. We’ll be looking for suggestions too!
