Free Financial Fitness Classes For City of Newburgh Residents

Financial Fitness Flyer

Press Release:

Summer has arrived in Newburgh, and it’s time to get fit – financially, that is! This June, City of Newburgh residents will have the opportunity to attend one of four free orientation sessions that will introduce some of the skills needed to develop a healthy financial foundation. The orientations will be held on Thursday, June 27th at 6:00pm in English or at 7:00pm in Spanish, and on Saturday, June 29th at 9:00am in English and 10:00am in Spanish at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center at 321 South William Street in Newburgh.

Following the orientation sessions, attendees will be able to register for free classes that will be hosted throughout the summer to provide more information about each of the financial fitness topics, including good credit strategies, borrowing basics, and banking. The classes are a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in improving their finances, and also for those who hope to someday become homeowners in the City of Newburgh.

Anyone who is interested in learning more or attending a session can register by calling (845) 569-0770. Orientation sessions and classes are currently open to City of Newburgh residents only, and there is no minimum income to participate.

This is an equal housing opportunity co-sponsored by PathStone Community Improvement of Newburgh, the City of Newburgh, and the Newburgh Community Land Bank.
