East Parmenter is a street and micro neighborhood in Newburgh that is changing quickly. Habitat for Humanity is about to complete their final stage of building 2 homes this summer. This little house could easily add to the revitalization spirit that is happening here with a paint job and other cosmetic changes. The interior is a little more tricky because this is being sold with renters. It has been divided into 2 units. Also, the listing says that there is private parking in the rear, but essentially you have to drive through the backyard of the house on the left. The photos do not really help much either. They are all blurry. But all the more reason to go check it out for yourself in person.
Another great tidbit about this house for you history buffs, the home is among the oldest in Newburgh dating back to 1820 according to an architectural review done by Neil Larson in the 1970’s when he reviewed the Selah Reeve House. Since the house on the left is connected it also dates back to 1820.
