Over the weekend Ms. Fairfax opened just in time for the Newburgh Open Studios weekend. This new business was up and running very quickly considering they only announced their opening a few days before. The name was carefully thought out, as it replaces the former Martha. Ms. Fairfax was actually George Washington’s lover.
Some of the changes I love about Ms. Fairfax are #1, they’ll be opened later! Closing time will be 10-11pm, which gives Liberty Street a new late night dinning option. The new extended bar with attached seating is my #2 favorite change. While we were there, I noticed the bar seats were the most preferred for hanging out and chatting. They’ll be offering different beers on tap which will be rotated. Change #3 is the new to-go section. You can pick up beer, deli items, or tasty snacks for a picnic at Washington’s HQ.
Ms. Fairfax is run by the same folks from Palate Wine & Spirits.
