Any budding artists in Newburgh and beyond?

Sorry…I came across this a little late. The information is still good even if you can’t attend the workshop today. But, if you are a budding artist, there is an opportunity for you to receive grant money. Up to $5,000 is being awarded for not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations, also individual artists applying through non-profit organizations.

According to Arts in Orange: “The Arts Community Grants program seeks to foster locally based arts activities, assist emerging arts organizations, support the cultural expression of ethnic groups in Orange County and provide cultural programs to underserved communities. The grants program welcomes applications from all arts disciplines and seeks a wide diversity of applicants.”

Underserved arts community? Sounds right up Newburgh’s alley. Although the deadline for the application is Monday, September 28th, the workshop will be held today, Tuesday, August 4th. It is recommended to apply early on so that Arts in Orange can review your application. The process is almost entirely paper-less. I’m getting déjà vu of my FAFSA days!
