I know I am very late on this because this happened over six months ago, but this is a cool find that I came across after doing some reading on Genie’s Journal about the Travel Channel visiting Newburgh while in the Hudson Valley to sample some of Broadway’s finest tacos. I didn’t get a chance to see the episode, so I have no idea what they are talking about in this photo, but Yay! for Newburgh for being on the Travel Channel and being visited by Anthony Bourdain!
The Ixtapa Taco Truck is at 423 Broadway, Newburgh, in front of Family Dollar. They received a nice little review last week on Chowhound saying, “I ordered 3 tacos ($1.50 each) of the al pastor variety. Double corn tortillas, lots of spicy, tender pork, lettuce, hot sauce and radish slices and lime wedges. Tasty, tasty, tasty. Best time to catch the truck there is weekend afternoons.” When we showed up on Saturday afternoon, there was a line already outside. Apparently they are so good even the locals love them! Just wanted to share another part of the diversity and intriguing part of Newburgh! Click on any of the photos below to get a better look.
