Newburgh’s own Atlas Industries has been featured in this months Elle Decor Magazine, page 62! Thomas Wright and Joseph Fratesi are being called a ‘triple threat” for their “art and architecture background, engineering minds, and a reverence for fine craftsmanship.” Even though they have some impressive projects under their belts, the article says that the duo are most excited about their 55,000 sq ft former handbag factory in Newburgh. Atlas Industries was also the location of the River of Opportunities press conference a few weeks back. It’s pretty awesome to see such innovative people bringing creativity and positive press to Newburgh!
Also worthy of mention is Newburgher, Yaakov Sullivan as Richard Russell in the production of The Great Society at the Clurman Theatre. The Great Society follows “President Johnson after being unexpectedly thrust into power as he fights to end legal segregation and wage war on poverty.” Performances are set to begin August 3 in advance of an August 8 opening, and will run through August 24.
