  • This house is beautiful! I am always passing it when I drive down montgomery and its one of my favs!

  • This landmark City of Newburgh property is known as the Sunflower Cottage for the intricate flower carving over the front porch. This beautiful historically significant home represents the architect of Newburgh’s most prosperous period and was home to Captain David Crawford’s descendants. Located directly across the street from the Crawford House and with magnificent Hudson River Views, this circa 1830 vintage home has been lovingly restored to maintain its original charm & character, yet includes a perfect blend of modern conveniences. Home offers a lower level studio apartment with eat in kitchen, living room, full bath, laundry and separate entrance. Owners quarters include two levels with room for 5 bedrooms. Bath has been totally renovated with jetted tub and tiled shower. Walking distance to popular Newburgh Waterfront for dining & entertainment. Minutes to I-84, I-87, Route 9W, Newburgh Beacon Bridge, Stewart Airport and Metro North. Less than 60 miles to New York City.

This is a legal two family, however current owners are using the home as a single family. All separate utilities. Basic STAR exemption would reduce taxes by $1013 to $9529.

  • I didn’t notice a pic of the bathroom. I lived here (upper apt) in the 90s. The bathroom was strangely HUGE. I think 20 people could fit in it , not kidding. The room was obviously used for something else originally ; probably a bedroom. Wonderful place. Wonderful memories. Great to see it again.
