Newburgh celebrates the Arts! 61 artists will participate in the Fifth Annual, Newburgh Open Studios taking place Saturday and Sunday, September 26th and 27th, 2015 from 11am – 5pm each day. It is a FREE self-guided tour. Maps will be available at Newburgh Art Supply, 5 Grand Street, Saturday and Sunday September 26th and 27th starting at 10am. The map can be downloaded beginning Friday, September 18th by visiting the studio tour website www.NewburghOPENStudios.org
Organized by Gerardo Castro and Michael Gabor, co-owners of Newburgh Art Supply, this year’s Newburgh Open Studios will introduce the public to Newburgh’s burgeoning arts community with the opening of artists’ work studios, alternative gallery spaces, and store front windows. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet and talk with emerging and established artists and craftspeople in spaces rarely open to the public. Much of the self-guided tour is ‘walkable’.
This year the studio tour has FREE shuttle service from the Beacon station – both days of the tour.
I will make every effort to check out some of these artists. I was surprised to so many locations, 21 in all. http://www.newburghopenstudios.org/s/2015_NewburghStudio_Map.pdf this is the map of the locations.
