Many of you have probably already noticed that the much talked about BBQ placed called Christine’s has closed it’s doors, and now Fiesta Restaurant has taken it’s place. Christine’s seemed to be doing well. An article even mentioned they had a nice flow of take out traffic as well as those who came in for sit down dinners. Fiesta didn’t have much going on since it was dark inside. Anybody try out this new place?
Summer time means local fresh food. This Friday starts the local farmers market in Newburgh in Downing Park. It will run every Friday from July 15 – October 28th. Hours are 10am to 5pm.

On Wednesday, June 22 from 6-9pm The Railroad Playhouse is hosting a spaghetti dinner prepared by The Wherehouse and Simple Gifts and Goodies. Cost is $10 and proceeds go to Northeast Gateway to Freedom to support their KIDZ Summer Initiative – a free program for kids in the city of Newburgh.
After a long hard winter and an exceptionally rainy spring, the Fairweather Cafe will be opening for the season this Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29. Mary Ann is busy planting ferns and getting her menu ready to see you this weekend.
The Fairweather Cafe is located at 81 Liberty Street, across the street from Washington’s Headquarters.
