The Lightbulb Project seeks Artists to create works using 4-ft high plywood forms shaped like a lightbulb for outdoor display for a period of 2 weeks. Materials used should suitable for extended outdoor display. Some lightbulbs will be able to be brought in indoors during rain/wind-speak to Gerardo Castro for suggestions. Both sides of lightbulbs MUST be painted. The Lightbulb Project encourages entry in all mediums of art including the use of paint, sculptural elements and non-conventional materials. Lightbulbs will be displayed in front of businesses, at Festival locations and key street corners throughout the City of Newburgh. The Lightbulb Project Auction date is Sunday June 22 at Liberty Street/Broadway lot where ALL lightbulbs will be displayed as an event to end the Newburgh Illuminated Festival. Proceeds from each light bulb will be split evenly between the artist and the Newburgh Illuminated Festival to help fund next year’s project. Specific details available by June 7th
