What is the benefit of enrolling in their home buyer program? You gain access to grants administered through PathStone from Mount Saint Mary’s College and St. Luke’s Hospital. They will help you apply for whatever grants are also available for you. This program is 3 classes long and also can be completed online in an 8 hour course (this is good for those of you who have to take a trip up to Newburgh).

There is also another program called the Service Club Program. In this program one of the 4 participating lenders will match $4 to every $1 you spend with a maximum of $7500. You must be a part of this program for 10 months but, by the 7th month you can begin looking for your home. This money can be used toward the purchase and closing of your home. For this program you must provide your tax returns for the past two years, W-2, and pay stubs. It is said going this route is a lot less paperwork that doing a HUD loan.
