The Lightbulb Project at the Newburgh Illuminated Festival


The Lightbulb Project will be an event during the Newburgh Illuminated Festival when 52 lightbulbs will be exhibited all over the city! According to Gerardo Castro who curated the project:

The artists range in disciplines from painters photographers sculptors, tailors, to graphic designers, graffiti artists, carpenters, musicians and more. Businesses and individuals are sponsoring the project – In partnership with Newburgh Art Supply.  The finished art will be on display in front of businesses around the City of Newburgh and at each Newburgh Illuminated Festival event. Following the Festival, The Lightbulb Project finale will be  a Closing Reception, Saturday, June 29th., at the Ann Street Gallery 6 pm to 8:30 pm and that afternoon, into the evening, the 52 lightbulbs will be exhibited on the Liberty Street lot adjacent to the gallery. The lot will be transformed to a field of  Shape and Color = Energy!  Select lightbulbs will be available for purchase.

Plus American Icon, in Newburgh, is creating, just for The Lightbulb Project,  a 6 Foot light bulb silkscreened by artist Rob Kucharek. Its a must see!
